You Know What Sucks About Squashed Beefs?

If I still was dragging myself down by harboring a grudge against a certain blogger, I'd be dying for their mini-series to do poorly so I could post a cover image, the sales numbers, and then quote an Erykah Badu song and say, "I think ya better call Tyrone, call him, and tell him come on, help you get your shit, come on, come on".

Or maybe just post the YouTube:

In all seriousness, though, I wish her and the mini-series well. I know: I wouldn't believe it if I was typing it myself. ;) I just can't resist a joke, lame or otherwise.

Huh? You see, Cloak's name is Tyrone and...never mind...

Update: well, "dying for their mini-series to do poorly" is an exaggeration...and the eagerness would be more based on having come up with the Tyrone thing than anything else. When I have a joke (again, lame or not), I'm as giddy as a kid trying to sleep on the night before Christmas.

  1. The book probably WILL do poorly since there is an unknown creative team on it and it features C-list characters. I'll probably be giving it a miss unless it is spectacular and I'll grab the trade. Shame too as I've wanted a C&D series for ages (preferably drawn by David Finch).

The name Tyrone is ridiculous too, I hate it as a name mainly because it's where I live.

  2. Wow, what a petty sounding self-absorbed bastard you are...

  3. Forgetting of course that naming myself zodcomplex belies my own deep-seeded insecurities and latent homosexuality.

Really, the truth, Kevin, is that I love your video reviews, and want you to fuck me raw. I'm only angry that you give Valerie attention because she a used-up hooch with a broken cooch.

Ride me! Ride me you big fucking dog!

  4. Before any crap gets started about this: I have no idea who zodcomplex is and, while it looks likely that the second zod comment wasn't made by the same person as the first, I had nothing to do with either. I've been out since about 4:40pm EST, just arriving home ten minutes ago.

I'm going to leave them up, just the same.

  5. zodcomplex (the real one)Jul 28, 2008 06:00 AM
Seems I touched a nerve. The fact that the first thing thing feuxcomplex did was suggest I was a homosexual (how very fratboy-ish of you) says WAY more about him (or her) than about me.

I really don't see how commenting on a blog about how you've put a "beef" behind you (seriously, what are you, a rapper?) - only to come back say "But man, I've got an insult that'd get her but good, but I'm not gonna use it, cause, y'know, I done squashed the beef" - implies that I'm a homosexual, but I guess that's more wishful thinking on someone else's part.

  6. First, "real" zodcomplex, the "beef" was taken from the first comment on the blog where I said I had let it go. Don't believe me? It's right here.

So, no...I'm not a rapper. And it isn't about being self-absorbed. You can doubt me if you like, but I was asked for a reaction when it was rumored she got the Marvel gig.

Wait...let me take that back...it isn't any more self-absorbed that just simply having a blog is. I mean, if you post stuff on a blog on a regular basis, it can be argued that that you're self-absorbed enough to think that people just need to see what you're thinking. ;)

Kind of like feeling the world just needs to see your drive by insult, too.

  7. Your being homosexual is beside the point. I was using a rude metaphor in the interest of commenting on your apparently desperate need to either get Kevin's attention or to have your insults read.

And you yourself must be uncomfortable with the suggestion, since you've spent a post dealing not with with calling someone you don't know a "petty sounding self-absorbed bastard", but by denying your orientation like early '90s Tom Cruise.

But no one really cares if you do have it for Kevin. It doesn't matter to anyone here if you're gay or not. The important thing is that you are an asshole who may or may not love men. Your mileage may vary.

  8. I think that would be FAUXcomplex, nimrods...

  9. I think that the follow-up guy facetiously used "feuxcomplex" as quoting zodcomplex (who, incidentally, molests collies).

It is preferred that you sign some sort of name to your posts, rather than remain completely anonymous. Even if it is just an internet nickname/alias, it makes it easier to get to know the people that post here. I hope you all will give it some consideration. Thank you.
