Ugh...I Really Didn't Want To Do This



But wow...one of my least favorite people, the big dumb animal named Steve Ekstrom, is shooting off his mouth via his fat fingers on a keyboard again in a way that personifies stupidity. Not only that, but quite possibly misogyny.

About what, might you ask? Wrestling of all things. Several wrestling fans going at it over whether female wrestling is a worthwhile product...with Ekstrom championing the negative position. Along the way, he dismisses research as some sort of dirty debate trick, travels in illogical circles, and essentially argues that something isn't misogynist because it's caused by misogyny.

It'll really blow your God damned mind.

  2. Ironically, you're agreeing with Steve makes him look more misogynistic by association. Whether you really are or aren't, Frag, the post sure makes you seem like you are when you'd basically only value women performing if they took their tops off.

    I would prefer to see Trish Stratus naked than watch a match of hers.

    And I don't hate women, which is the definition of misogyny. I hate watching women's wrestling.

  4. I'm not saying you're actually a misogynist, because that's a helluva thing to make a snap judgment on. I'm just saying that the way that you commented over that could be taken as evidence that you are...when you give off the appearance of hating women for any other purpose but titillation.

  9. You know, Frag...I thought you were brighter than this. I've already said that I'm not saying you're misogynist, but that others can make that argument from what you said (not a strong argument, though). But you did demonstrate a dislike for anything involving women other than their bare breasts in your comment at Shotgun. That's what could be used to make the argument.

    I mean, he actually says:

    "But I will say that it was nice to finally “make it” onto the Schwapp’s blog–because anyone in the comic book industry will tell you that you’ve officially “made it” to industry pro status when ol’ Kev hates on you. You know, since he’ll always just be a vanity publishing blogger for the rest of his electronic existence."

    So...you know...you'll have to do better. ;)

  16. Sounds like grasping at straws to me. I mean if he were constantly mentioning someone's ripped vagina as a means to make these girls look bad, well then, that would be far more obviously misogynistic.

  17. Ah, anonymous, there's so few people that are so obsessed about that ripped vagina thing to keep bringing it up.

    I didn't keep bringing up Val's ripped vagina to make her look bad because of her having had a ripped vagina.

    She took a shot at me for how she felt I went about getting a presence on the internet...which she was completely wrong about, btw. I took a shot back on her in that she exploited her ripped vagina experience in order to build an audience for her talking about comic books. The story was getting teased ahead of time to keep the audience checking back feverishly for an update on her broken hoo-ha and who the unknown penciller might be.

    She, also, used a broad brush in her anonymous gossiping about DC employees that could have left the innocent looking as bad as the allegedly guilty there.

    It was a point about throwing stones when you live in glass houses. And if she tried to dine out so hard on that story, I think it is a little stupid for her or her friends to go crying about it when it gets brought up.

  19. Any hate I feel for anyone has nothing to do with gender. When I feel hate, it normally has far more than something I "disagree" with a person about behind it.

    But good job at trying to ask a "do you still beat your wife" question meant to trap me in something...

    And I didn't deflect anything by pointing out your anonymity...I did that by pointing out the truth of the situation in previous comments. ;)

    Meanwhile, you're trying to deflect your disinterest in having your thoughts connected to your person by trying to suggest it is some sort of macho deal. And then argue that many people post useless names as their identities as if it explains why you couldn't post your absolute 100% accurate identity...

    Ironically, that picture showed Eks looking much like a manatee while he was suggesting he hoped I had been born of a manatee in a comment since deleted by the administrators over at ShotgunReviews.com. Perhaps it demonstrates what his problem with me has always been: an unrequited desire to mate with me, manatee-to-manatee.

It is preferred that you sign some sort of name to your posts, rather than remain completely anonymous. Even if it is just an internet nickname/alias, it makes it easier to get to know the people that post here. I hope you all will give it some consideration. Thank you.
